Suite Française

We already have a long list of book suggestions (and many of us have not contributed to the list yet), so I decided to start lobbying for favorites, otherwise how in the world will we be able to choose 6 out of a hundred?

Suite Française by Irène Nemirovsky is definitely at the top of my list. The book potrays life in France under German occupation. Often compared to Anne Frank’s Diaries, Nemirovsky’s book caused a stir in her native France. M.
